A personalized multimedia format conversion service method and a multimedia format conversion server for the same are provided to solve a problem of an unplayable file because of a codec which does not exist within a terminal device by converting a file format according to the codec which is embedded in the terminal device. A codec data control part(21) stores codec list in a codec list database. A conversion option control part(22) receives option setting data for multimedia file format decision from each user of mobile communication terminal device, and stores the option setting data in a conversion option database. A packet download speed control part(23) stores the real time pack download speed in a packet download speed database. A file format decision part(24) decides the file format of the multimedia file. A file format conversion part(25) converts the file format of the multimedia file. A downloading part(26) downloads the converted file to the mobile terminal device. |
