PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively enhance convenience when using a luggage compartment provided in a rear part of a vehicle by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The luggage compartment structure for the vehicle is provided with the luggage compartment 3 positioned at the front side of a rear end opening formed at the rear wall of a vehicle body; a sub-trunk 21 installed so as to be downwardly recessed more than the floor surface of the luggage compartment 3 and extending in a vehicle width direction; a tonneau board 4 arranged in the luggage compartment 3 and dividing the inside of the compartment to a plurality of areas; and a rear wheel house 8 swelled from the side wall of the luggage compartment 3 to an indoor side. A recess 14 in which the side wall of the luggage compartment 3 is positioned at an outdoor side more than the inner side wall surface of the rear wheel house 8 is formed in a rear part of the rear wheel house 8. At the lower end of the recess 14, the side end of the sub-trunk 21 is continuously formed. Further, a connection member for connecting the rear wheel house 8 to the rear wall of the vehicle body is provided, and thereby, a shelf extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body is formed at an upper part of the recess 14.
