PURPOSE: To quickly process image data by eliminating a need of coordinate conversion of all picture elements at the time of performing the coordinate conversion for the purpose of rotating, expanding, or reducing the image data to display or print it. CONSTITUTION: When a first picture element is outputted (YES in a step S1), first output picture element shape operation is performed where the picture element shape is subjected to affine transformation and is converted to a set or segments in the main scanning direction to obtain the output picture element shape data (step S2). This data is stored in a storage device (step S3). The other picture element shape data (NO in the step S1) is obtained by second output picture element shape operation where output picture element shape data read out from the storage device is subjected to prescribed operation (steps S4, S5, and S6). |
