<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust purification filter and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the exhaust gas purification filter, a filter base material is composed of three-element system compound consisting of one of the transition metal elements (Ti, Nb, Cr, Ta, V, Mo), one of group III or group IV (Al, Si, Sn) and carbon or nitrogen. The filter is an exhaust gas purification filter formed of a new material system having high melting point, stability where it is not decomposed at a high temperature, high temperature-strength, high temperature-oxidation resistance, thermal shock resistance, high specific surface area, low pressure loss, narrow pore diameter distribution, high heat conductivity, excellent catalyst wettability, damping property or the like that are required for diesel engine and gasoline engine exhaust gas purification filters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
