PURPOSE:To obtain a preventing and therapeutic agent for diarrhea in livestock and pets capable of increasing the number of bacteria of the genus Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus, on the other hand, reducing the number of bacteria of the genus Clostridium and effectively preventing and treating the onset of diarrhea, etc., in the animals. CONSTITUTION:The preventing and therapeutic agent contains a guar gum enzymic hydrolyzate, obtained by partially hydrolyzing mucilaginous polysaccharides contained in seeds of Cyamopsis tetragonoloba with one or two or more species of enzymes and having preferably <=50cP viscosity of a 10% aqueous solution measured at 25 deg.C and 30r.p.m. by using a Brookfield viscometer as an active ingredient. |
