PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and appropriately perform a zoom adjustment when magnifying an object.SOLUTION: A digital camera 1 comprises: an identification part 63 for identifying a focal distance corresponding to a shortest distance in which focusing can be performed in an optical zoom lens 2; a zoom operation discrimination part 62 for performing zooming with a zoom lever 33; a zoom control part 64 for controlling the focal distance in the optical zoom lens 2 and/or a segmentation size by a digital zoom processing part 67 in accordance with a zoom magnification; and an operation discrimination part 61. When shifting to a BS magnifier mode by the operation discrimination part 61, the zoom control part 64 performs control that defines the focal distance in the optical zoom lens 2 as a focal distance identified by the identification part 63 and while shifting to the BS magnifier mode, in response to an operation by the zoom operation discrimination part 62, the segmentation size by the digital zoom processing part 67 is controlled without controlling the focal distance of the optical zoom lens 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
