PURPOSE: To give an excellent electrical characteristic and a self-fire extinguishing property by using a mixture, including 4-trifluoromethyl-1,3- dioxolan-2-on, and dimethyl carbonate, for the solvent of the organic electrolyte of a lithium secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: A mixed solvent of first and second solvents composed of annular ester and chainlike ester respectively is used for the solvent of the organic electrolyte of a lithium secondary battery. The first and second solvents contain at least 4-trifluoromethyl-1 and 3-dioxolan-2-on and dimethyl carbonate. The volume ratios of the first and second solvents occupied in a whole solvent are to be 35-55% and 45-65% respectively. The rate of the 4-trifluoromethyl-1 and the 3-dioxolan-2-on occupied in a whole solvent is to be 35-55%, and the rate of the dimethyle carbonate occupied in the second solvent is to be 40-100%. |
