1292232 Glass forming machine OWENS-ILLINOIS Inc 9 Jan 1970 [9 Jan 1969] 1074/70 Heading C1M A glass forming machine comprises a plurality of parison mould cavities 13 in a parison mould assembly 11 and a moulding station 16 for receiving parisons, said assembly 11 also including a baffle holder 21 supporting a plurality of baffles 14 each capable of closing the open end of a cavity 13, and means for moving the baffle holder 21, to and from a position overlying the open ends of the moulds 13. The means for moving the baffle holder 21 comprises a support arm 22, one end of which is pivoted to the holder 21 and the other end is connected to a shaft 23, and a connecting link 27 pivoted at one end to the holder 23 and at the other to a fixed shaft 29. The shaft 23 may be raised and lowered by means of a piston 24. A roller 25 co-operating with a cam 26 causes the shaft to rotate as it is raised and lowered. At least some of the baffles are supported on the holder for yielding movement relative to the holder. |
