PURPOSE: To locally alter the arrangement of characters by calculating the number of the characters of character data and arranging remaining character data in a line when the character data with modification information indicating word sending out to the next line is arranged at the end of a line. CONSTITUTION: When the character data having the modification information, indicating word sending out to the next line, set at part of the character data is arranged at the end of the line, a CPU 6 decides whether or not the arrangement can be altered so that the character data can be expelled to the next line according to a control program stored in a ROM 7. When it is decided that the arrangement can be altered, the number of the characters is calculated and the character data left by the expelling are arranged in the line and displayed on a display device 1. When character data having modification information indicating word sending out to a previous line is arranged at the head of the line, the CPU 6 alters the arrangement of the character data to the line end of the previous line and the character data are arranged in the line including the expelled character data and displayed on the display device 1. |
