A cartridge insert for a boring tool or stopbutton 9 comprises an outer sleeve 1 adapted to be secured to a body 2a by screws 3, an inner sleeve 14 slidable in sleeve 1, and a cup-shaped member 8. Sleeve 1 has keys 6 which slide in key-ways 7 in member 8, and the latter is screwed to sleeve 14 at 15, 16. Tool 9 is secured to member 8 by a screw 10, and is keyed to the member by a pin 11 which co-operates with a keyway 12 in the tool. Lost motion between threads 15, 16 is taken up by coil-springs 17, which also urge sleeve 14 on to a seating 14b. |
