<p>The yarns esp. of polyamide or polyester is heated to soften it and passed through the flase twist bush to crimp it, the yarn tension at the entry of the bush being 0.35-1.5 gm/den., the ratio of yarn tension at the entry and exit of the bush being 1.2-2.0; and the ratio of yarn speed through the bush to the peripheral speed of the bush being 0.3-6.0. Pref. the tension of the yarn is controlled by varying the inclination of the bush axis to the ayrn path between 15 degrees-90 degrees. After crimping the yarn is drawn and heat fixed, 70 denier yarn can be crimped at high throughput rates.</p> |
