Anode slime decomposition by treatment with H2SO4 in presence of O2 or O2-containing gases takes place in an autoclave at total pressure >=5 atm. at temps. above the b.pt. of the solution in the autoclave, pref. 150 degrees C, esp. 120 degrees C. Cu and Ni pass into solution, while Se, Te and precious metals remain in the residue.
