LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: To provide a liquid crystal display device with which the place for escape of the heat generated from the electrode part of a light source for a back light is assured and the high-luminance back light is realized by simple constitution. CONSTITUTION: The front surface of a linear substrate 9 is provided with an inverter transformer 7 for driving the light source 4 for the back light of a liquid crystal panel 2 and other electronic parts 8 for driving the liquid crystal display device 1. A copper thin film 11 which radiates heat to an air layer 10 between the linear substrate 9 and a reflection case 5 is formed on the rear surface of the linear substrate 9. The light source 4 and the copper thin film 11 are connected by a lead wire 12 for supplying electricity to the light source 4. A lead wire of a relatively large diameter is used for the lead wire 12 in order to enhance the conductivity of the heat generated in the electrode part 6 of the light source 4 to the copper thin film 11.
