<p>1281924 Jet pumps M GARNIER 31 July 1969 [1 Aug 1968 18 April 1969] 38426/69 Heading F1E An ejector comprises an intake pipe 5 for a primary fluid, a second coaxial intake pipe 8 for a secondary fluid, and a simple coaxial compound ovoid body 1 lodged coaxially in the second pipe 8 and forming a slit with the intake pipe 5 so that primary fluid issues from the slit in a path tangential to the other profile of the ovoid 1. Other embodiments are described comprising: three simple ovoids located in three lobes or chambers arranged in parallel with each ovoid having a primary fluid supply. An embodiment for spraying of the secondary fluid, Fig.5 has a tube 9 for the secondary fluid passing through the intake pipe 5 and then into the ovoid 1 to come out in an opening in its outer surface. In another embodiment two ovoids are placed in tandem and the secondary pipe for the first ovoid acts as a primary nozzle for the second ovoid. In a modification the secondary pipe (27) Fig.13 (not shown) is made to diverge from the slit (23) and is enveloped in a further chamber having a grid at its open end for use as a burner. A further embodiment is described in which the width of the slit 6 may be varied and in yet a further embodiment several ovoids each having a slit are connected in tandem and have diameters decreasing from the first intake pipe 5.</p> |
