Textile reinforced rubber hose, is made in any size and in lengths of 15 to 25 m by continuous process. - A rubber core tube is first extruded and the interior immediately sprayed with a wetting and lubricating liquid. - After quenching with water and drying with blown air, a mandrel is inserted and the reinforcement applied. - The mandrel is withdrawn and an outer rubber tube extruded on an coated with a non- tick layer. - The hoses are loaded into a water tank and the ends plugged when the hoses have filled. - The load in the tank is cured in an autoclave. - For insertion of the mandrel, the hose is laid straight pref. in a V-groove ona table. - The wetting and lubricating liquid may be a solution of potassium soap or ordinary detergent and is injected at the extrusion head. - This facilitates entry of the mandrel.
