Assembling plastic profiles - by heating and cooling in contact until bonding occurs

In a process for assembling profiles of synthetic, particularly thermoplastic, material edge to edge by heating in contact the zones to be bonded, the profiles are made to slide along a solid surface at an elevated temp., placed and maintained in contact until they are sufficiently cool to stay bonded. The process achieves a higher output than bonding in a current of hot air.
