The title compound is separated from its admixture with dl-isomer, by fractional solution in aq. medium. The initial l-/dl-HCl salt mixture may be obtained by (e.g.) making the salt of the dl-base with l-di-(p-tolyl) tartaric acid, obtaining such salt enriched in the l-base by fractional precipitation, and converting this enriched salt to the correspondingly enriched HCI salt.</p> |
