Sugar cane shredder construction - with multi blade cutter sliding over perforated disc and suction pump impeller

A shredder for fibrous matl., such as sugar cane, which has to be shredded for the rapid sugar analysis of a sample, consists of a multi blade cutter which is revolved by a motor as it slides above a perforated disc. The impeller of a suction pump arranged below this disc acts as the conveyor for the carrier liq. in a container with the sugar cane. This saves time of up to over 50% compared with the conventional beater blades. The temp. rise is much less and does not affect the result of the analysis.
