The horizontal container for granular liquid or paste type bulk goods has one or more closable outlet openings with inclined sliding surfaces leading to them for the contents and with one or more inlet openings arranged opposite to the outlet openings. A frame (1) has guide devices to carry the container (2). The guide devices on the frame permit-rotation of the container around its length axis and simultaneous lifting or lowering. The outlet openings which lie oblique sideways in the lowered position are placed below the length centre line of the container during rotation and lifting of the container.
