<p>1526520 Heat-treating silicon steel ALLEGHENY LUDLUM INDUSTRIES Inc 7 Sept 1976 [8 Sept 1975] 36996/76 Headings C7A and C7N In a process for producing silicon steel with a cube-on-edge orientation and a permeability of at least 1850 G/Oe at 10 Oe a material containing in wt. per cent C -0À07 Si 2À8 -4 Mn 0À03 -0À24 S and/or Se 0À01 -0À09 Al 0À015-0À04 N -0À02 Cu -0À5 B -0À0035 is cast, hot-rolled, cold-rolled with a reduction of at least 75% decarburization annealed, and finally texture annealed while coated with a composition consisting of 100 parts wt. per cent in total of one or more of boron, boron compounds, sulphur, sulphur compounds, selenium, selenium compounds, or oxides or hydroxides of Mg, Ca, Al, Ti, or Mn together with 4 to 120 parts wt. per cent of at least one amide and/or amide of an organic or inorganic acid. Preferred compositions include magnesium oxide and/or hydroxide with 10-40 parts of urea or sulphanic acid.</p> |
