The trolley features a conical plastics basket portion adapted to receive merchandise. The trailing wall of the basket (i.e. that end nearest the push bar) is a hinged flap spaced above the wheel-fitted chassis of the trolley that is made of metal profiles. The basket is supported by pairs of carrier arms, each arm of a pair being connected by a metal plate. The carrier arms are connected with the longitudinally extending profiles near the rear corners of the chassis. The chassis is plastic-coated near the front and side walls of the basket.
