The invention relates to a process for producing a heat insulation core from a granular heat insulation material in a heat insulation interspace of a building part with inner shell and outer shell, the granular heat insulation material being provided with a dispersion adhesive and introduced into the heat insulation interspace, and the dispersion adhesive fixing the grains of the heat insulation material. The dispersion adhesive (which per se would break and develop an adhesive force when mixed with the granular heat insulation material) is, before mixing with the granular heat insulation material, provided with a buffering quantity of water, which buffers the evolution of adhesive force. In other respects, the granular heat insulation material is mixed like concrete or mortar with the dispersion adhesive/buffering water mixture and introduced into the heat insulation interspace. The quantity of buffering water is then caused to evaporate, i.e. the heat insulation core is dried. The invention also relates to a heat insulation material/dispersion adhesive mixture which is prepared correspondingly with the dispersion adhesive/buffering water mixture and is packed in a package which is water vapour-tight and storable and is broken open only at the place of introduction.
