Described are organic phosphorus compounds of the formula:

wherein R1 is a C1-C4 alkyl group, a phenyl group or a C1-C4 alkoxy group, R2 is a C1-C4 alkyl group, R3 and R4 are, same or different, each a hydrogen atom, a C1-C4 alkyl group or a phenyl group and R5 is a 2,4-dichlorophenyl group, a trifluoromethylphenyl group or a 5-trifluoromethylpyridin2-yl group, and a process for their manufacture. These compounds are useful herbicides.
