PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of any scratch to a water-repellent membrane by the metal core material of a catalytic layer, by interposing a washer being inscribed in the inner suface of a positive pole case in space of a peripheral pressurizing part between the water-repellent membrane and the catalytic layer making up a gas diffusion type air cell. CONSTITUTION:Air diffusion paper 6 is inserted into a positive pole case 4 provided with an air hole 5 and a water-repellent membrane 1 is disposed thereon. Furthermore a metal-make or resin-make washer 7 to be inscribed in the inner surface of the positive pole case 4 is placed on the peripheral part of the water- repllent membrane 1, and a catalytic layer 2 containing a metal core material is installed thereon, then a separator 8 is installed, thus an assembly body at the positive side is completed. And, a sealing ring 9 is attached to the periphery of a sealing plate 10, and combined with a negative assembly body housing a negative pole 11 inside so that this button type air cell is made up. Therefore, because of pressurization in time of assembling, leakproofness can be improved without producing any scratch to the water-repellent membrane 1 by the metal core material of the catalytic layer 2. |
