PURPOSE:To surely prevent the outer plating of an automobile from chipping without deteriorating the external appearance, by applying an anti-chipping sheet material composed of thermo-hardening resin as a main component on the coating surface of a primer for anti-corrosion before application of intermediate and top coatings. CONSTITUTION:An anti-chipping sheet material 1 is formed in a required shape such that an adhesive layer 3 is formed on one surface of a sheel-like base material 2 composed of thermohardening resin as a main component, and a mold parting paper 4 is applied to the outer surface of the layer 3. After the mold parting paper 4 on the anti-chipping material 1 is separated, the chipping sheet material is applied on a section where a primer 8 is coated. Thereafter, the chipping sheet material 1 is thermohardened, and then an intermediate coating and a top coating are applied thereover for a final finishing process. |
