PURPOSE:To form the carriage for a small printer by simplifying a structure, by performing the shift of an ink ribbon by the cam cooperated with the cam wheel, which is reversibly rotated in connection with a wind-up motor, and a guide pin. CONSTITUTION:When a printing order is issued, a motor 44 is rotated to an E- direction and a gear 59 is rotated to the E-direction through an intermediate gear 58. As a result, a cam wheel 53 is also rotated to the E-direction and a guide pin 56 moves along the inside of a cam wall 53c and detached to be moved while contacted with a peripheral wall 53a and, when reached in the vicinity of the central part outside the cam wall 53c, the motor 44 is stopped. In this state, the guide pin 56 is held in a state mostly separated from the center of the cam wheel 53 toward the side of a platen 16 and, therefore, the cam 21 is revolved to a C-direction to a max. degree and a pin 12 is positioned on the highest surface of the cam surface 22 while the leading end of a cassette 11 is pushed up through the pin 12 to be brought to the same height as a type 17. As a result, if a hammer 18 is operated, impact printing can be performed to recording paper through an ink ribbon 13. |
