发明名称 THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING APPARATUS
摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to always obtain a thermal ink layer with a uniform thickness and good recording quality, by arranging an ink coating mechanism to the running route of an endless film. CONSTITUTION:Because the FEP layer 11 being the ink coating surface of an endless film 1 is inferior to the wettability and adhesiveness with thermal ink, the center part thereof except both side regions 11a, 11b is subjected to etching treatment as an ink coating region 11c to be improved in the wettability and adhesiveness with ink. The coating roller 2 of an ink coating mechanism 6 is heated to temp. equal to or more than the m.p. of the ink 13 by the heat source in said roller 12 and fine line like grooves 18 each having a V-shaped cross- sectional area are provided to the outer peripheral surface of said roller 12 by engraving. This roller 12 is rotated and the ink 13 in an ink tank 14 is pumped up to be applied to the surface of the film 1. In this case, the resiual ink 13 on the surface of the film 1 is melted by the ink sump 13' formed to the contact part of the roller 12 and the film 1 to make it possible to always form an ink layer 13a with a uniform thickness and, because the regions other than the coating region is inferior to the wettability and adhesiveness with the ink, the adhesion of ink can be reduced.
