This invention comprises the control mechanism of the needleholder bar(4) and the yarn feeder(5) of a stitch take-up machine for knitted fabrics and hosiery. The movements of (4) and of (5), which cooperate with the needle(3), are produced and controlled by seperate crank gears(12,25). The axes of the trunnions(11,24) are inclined towards the axes of rotation of the cranks(16,27). The size of the angle which (11) forms with (12) determines the movement of (4); similarly the size of the angle which (24) forms with (25) determines the movement of (19).
