MACHINE FOR APPLYING A FUSED CONFIGURATION OF POWDER ON A SHOE SUBSTRATE A machine for applying a fused configuration of powder on a shoe substrate. The surface is provided for receiving a deposit of powder. The receiving surface is supported for displacement along a predetermined path. A stencil assembly is also provided and has a horizontally extending stencil. A powder dispenser is also provided and includes a dispenser carriage which is displaced between end positions. The dispenser carriage has front and rear walls. A wiper blade is secured to the front and rear walls and movable upwardly and downwardly. A lowering mechanism lowers the upstream wiper blade to the closed position when the dispenser carrriage is displaced from either of the end positions. A raising mechanism raises the downstream wiper blade from its lowered position before the downstream wiper blade passes across the stencil as the dispenser carriage is displaced from either of the end positions.
