<p>An indole derivative represented by general formula (I) or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, wherein R?1 and R2¿ represent each hydrogen or alkyl; R3 represents hydrogen, halogeno, optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxy or alkoxycarbonyl; R4 represents optionally substituted isoxazolyl, optionally substituted benzisoxazolyl, optionally substituted thiazolyl, optionally substituted benzothiazolyl or optionally substituted quinolyl; and R5 represents hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl. The compound has an excellent effect of promoting the production or secretion of nerve growth factors and is useful as a remedy or preventive for nervous diseases such as dementia of Alzheimer type or cerebral ischemic pathological models (in particular, dementia of Alzheimer type).</p> |
