The vertical element of the container (C) is octagonally shaped with fold lines (II, VI) creased so as to allow flattening. A base of similar card or card like material (F) is created from a single sheet with a primary inward fold (14) giving increased strength. A series of secondary folds along designed lines produces uprights (2) corresponding to the shape of the vertical element (C) and, additionally. Triangular corner wings (16, 17) which act as stabilisers for the assembled container (C, F). This is then mounted upon a pallet (P) the whole thus being handleable and transportable in this mode. -
