The appts. includes a battery of laser diode (2) bars, with a bar sub-assembly (1,2,3) which penetrates into a channel (18) formed in a common support block (17). The support is metallic, but is insulated on its surface by a layer of carbon-diamond and a glue. The sub-assemblies are arranged in order to direct their light output in a common direction. The subassemblies may either include bars of diodes, or lamellae supporting bars of diodes with the foot (16) of each lamella being inserted in the channel in the common support. The channels are covered on their lateral faces by an insulating layer. |
