The element is formed as an elastomeric profiled member (9) extruded around a metal reinforcing core (8). A first portion, shaped as a pincer (6), may be attached to a window surrounding frame, and a second U-section portion (7) forms a guiding and sealing trough for the mobile glazing panel (3). A gap in the metal core forms a flexible elastic hinge (10). The portion (8b) of the core which is not attached to the first pincer portion is formed with a shape similar to the window surrounding frame over at least part of its length, e.g. to form a corner portion of the frame.
