PURPOSE:To simplify the printing operation and to save power by providing a standby command means and an image pickup command means to the still camera and printing out a picked-up picture onto a recording medium when a pickup command is entered by the operator after a standby command is entered. CONSTITUTION:When a standby button 24 is depressed, a control signal from a control section 40 is fed to a DC/DC converter 28. Then the control signal is converted into a prescribed voltage by the converter 28 and fed to each section of the camera and each section reaches an operational state. Moreover, the control section 40 gives the control signal to a paper feed motor 34 via a supply amplifier 36 and thermosensing paper 42 is fed to a prescribed position where printing is made available. When the paper feed is finished, the control section 40 starts a timer 48. When a shutter button 26 is depressed succeedingly, a buzzer sound is sounded and printing is started. Thus, it is not required to depress a copy button in addition to the depression of the shutter button 26 different from a conventional camera and the print operation is simplified. |
