发明名称 PRODUCTION OF POROUS REFRACTORY MATERIAL FOR GAS BLOWING
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a refractory material having excellent resistance to spalling without reducing air permeability by forming a mixture of spherical granules of aluminum titanate derived from burning of mixed powder of alumina and titanium dioxide in a specific ratio and burning. CONSTITUTION:Alumina is mixed with titanium dioxide in a molar ratio of TiO2/Al3O3=0.1-4.0 and resultant mixed powder is spherically granulated, then burned to obtain spherical granules of aluminum titanate, thus a mixture containing said granules as a principal component is formed and burned to afford the aimed refractory material. Said refractory material has sufficient air permeability required to a refractory material for gas blowing and also exhibits excellent resistance to spalling against a large temperature difference exposed in gas blowing. Therefore, said porous refractory material for gas blowing exhibits functions such as stirring of molten steel by gas blowing or clogging inhibition of nozzle corresponding to the use without fear of a serious accident such as run-out.
