PURPOSE: To obtain a colorant sheet capable of certainly and sharply obtaining a colorant image by specifying the HLB and addition amt. of a nonionic surfactant allowed to be present at the time of the emulsion polymerization of an addition polymerizable compd. and adding a colorant to an aq. dispersion of the obtained org. polymer and applying the resulting dispersion to a sheet to dry the same. CONSTITUTION: The surface of the imagewise self-adhesive part a2 of a photosensitive sheet (a) and the colorant layer b3 of a colorant sheet (b) are superposed one upon another under pressure and the photosensitive sheet (a) is peeled to transfer the colorant layer b3 to the imagewise self-adhesive part a2 . Next, an image receiving sheet (c) and the colorant image formed surface of the colorant sheet (b) are superposed one upon another to be heated under pressure to transfer the image corresponding to the self-adhesive part of the colorant sheet (b) to the image receiving sheet (c). Herein, the colorant layer b, is formed by adding a colorant to an aq. dispersion of an org. polymer obtained by the emulsion polymerization of 100 pts.wt. of an addition polymerizable compd. in the presence of 3-50 pts.wt. of a nonionic surfactant with HLB of 10 or more and coating a sheet with the resulting dispersion to dry the coated sheet. |
