PURPOSE:To provide a product having improved transparency and glass and having also high moldability by a method wherein a sheet is heated, while being in contact with the outer periphery of a heating roll and pressed from the inside of a metallic endless belt and further carried and cooled, while being in contact with said endless belt. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin sheet or film of polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate, etc., having low internal haze is fed into between a heating roll 4 having mirror-like finished surface and a metallic endless belt 5. And the sheet is heated, while it is moved between the roll 4 and the belt 5 so as to be in contact with the outer periphery of the roll 4, following which a pressure is exerted on the sheet by a press roll 7 from the inside of the belt 5. Next, the sheet is moved, while being in contact with the belt 5, and cooled by an internal cooling roll 8. The sheet or film is heated to a temperature ranging from its heat distortion temperature to a temperature 100 deg.C higher than its melting point and a pressure of 2Kg/cm<2> or higher is exerted on the sheet. |
