PURPOSE:To provide a new DNA polymerase gene and a genetic engineering process for the production of a new DNA polymerase using the gene. CONSTITUTION:Two kinds of DNA polymerase genes having specific base sequences. A DNA polymerase is produced by introducing a recombinant plasmid containing the gene into a host cell, culturing the transformant and collecting the objective DNA polymerase from the cultured product. The DNA polymerase is useful as a reagent for the investigation of genetic engineering technology. |
