<p>PURPOSE:To provide a paper sheet feeder which can detect the size of random paper sheet accurately in the required minimum unit by using at least one sensor. CONSTITUTION:A paper guide 4 interlocked with an arm 3 mounted on a paper sheet size detection means 2 is made to abut on the end face of paper sheet 7 placed on a paper sheet feed tray 1. A position where the paper sheet guide 4 abuts on the end face of the paper sheet 7 is detected by the paper sheet size detection means 2 and the detected value is applied to an arithmetic equation or a conversion table stored in ROM11. The size of random paper sheet having fixed or unfixed forms can be detected accurately by this constitution.</p> |
