OPTICAL PATH CONVERTER USED FOR LINEAR ARRAY LASER DIODE AND LASER DEVICE USING THE SAME AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To provide the semiconductor laser device which is increased in energy density at the focus of the semiconductor laser, the optical path converter which is capable of increasing the energy density by extremely diminishing the focus of the linear array semiconductor laser device and the powerful semiconductor laser excited solid-state laser device for which the semiconductor laser device is used. CONSTITUTION:Dotty laser beam groups are disposed on the front surface of a linear array laser element 10 and the laser beam groups refracted and collimated in a direction nearly perpendicularly to the direction of the dot lines thereof are received and are radiated by perpendicularly rotating the direction of the laser beams from the respective emitters or the respective emitter groups, by which the laser beams are converted to substantially ladder- shaped laser beam groups. These substantially ladder-shaped laser beam groups are independently collimated in two directions and are converged to the focus, by which the density of the laser energy at the focus is improved. Such laser energy is used as the exciting source of the semiconductor laser excited solid- state laser device.
