BRAKE FRICTION PAD ASSEMBLY AND ITS PREPARATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly obtained by forming a friction member integrally with a sound reducing member in a brake friction pad assembly having a desired low noiseproofness and a high friction performance which is used for a brake mechanism of a car. SOLUTION: A brake friction pad assembly comprises a support plate 12 having surfaces opposed to each other and at least one opening part 2 O for extrusion extending between the surfaces opposed to each other, a formed friction producing pad member 14 in contact with one surface of the support plate, and a formed sound reducing pad member in contact with one of the surfaces of the support plate opposed to each other. The sound reducing pad member is connected to a friction producing pad member 14 through a formed material present in the opening for extrusion. The friction producing pad member and sound reducing pad member should preferably be prepared in a specific composition suitable for the exploitation of a desired characteristic.
