PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut fabric comprising fibers having no thermoplasticity such as cotton into a desired shape by an ultrasonic processing machine and to fasten the fray of its cut edge part. SOLUTION: Fabric 9 holding a sheet material 8 of a thermoplastic synthetic resin between the surface 6 and the back 7 of the fabric is pressed between an ultrasonic vibrator 3 and a press roller 4 protrusively equipped with a cutting blade 5 on the outer periphery. The face side fabric and the lining fabric are cut according to the shape of the cutting blade by the ultrasonic vibration, the sheet material at the cutting edge part is heated and melted by the ultrasonic vibration and impregnated into the face side fabric and the lining fabric. |
