PURPOSE: To provide a new monoclonal antibody recognizing human thymidine phosphorylase and platelet-originated vascular endothelial cell growth factor and useful for the diagnosis, treatment, etc., of various tumors, metastasis of the tumor, diseases accompanying abnormal proliferation of vascularization, etc. CONSTITUTION: This new monoclonal antibody to a peptide having amino acid sequence of formula I or formula II or a peptide recognizable by using the above peptide as an antigen site can be produced by bonding human thymidine phosphorylase or genetically equivalent platelet-originated vascular endothelial cell growth factor (PD-ECGF) to glutathione transferase (GST), mixing the product with Freund's complete adjuvant, immunizing a Balb/c mouse by intraperitoneal administration, collecting the spleen cell after the final immunization, fusing the cell to a myeloma cell by electrofusion, etc., culturing on HAT medium to obtain hybridoma, selecting a clone reactive with thymidine phosphorylase or PD-ECGF and culturing the cell after cloning. |
