Precision extrusion equipment for e.g. viscous plastic sealant containing conductive and abrasive silver particles

The unit extrudes a metered strand of a viscous and/or abrasive medium, especially a sealant. It comprises a positive displacement pump (10) whose connected pistons (20, 22) separate chambers (14, 18) for the medium and for hydraulic fluid. The hydraulic fluid drives the piston, extruding the medium from its chamber (14). The novel feature of this equipment, is supply of the viscous hydraulic fluid into the hydraulic chamber (18), using a gear pump (40), which delivers precisely dosed amounts.
