HIGH STRENGTH CORRUGATED PAPER SHEET

A high strength corrugated paper sheet with excellent shock absorptivity and workability suitable for use as a shock-absorbing package material is disclosed. Single-faced corrugated paperboard strips (12, 12a) are bonded to a bottom liner (14) to form a single-faced corrugated paper sheet. The strips (12, 12a) are arranged beside one another on the bottom liner (14) such that the peaks of each strip's flutes diverge from the peaks of neighboring strip's flutes by 1/2 flute pitch and thereby making the paper sheet be freely folded along either axis perpendicular or parallel to the flutes. The above single-faced corrugated paper sheet may be laminated with a single-faced corrugated top paperboard to form a double-faced corrugated paper sheet. This double-faced corrugated paper sheet effectively absorbs outside shock applied to packaged goods so that it reliably protects the goods from the shock.
