CLOCK CONTROLLER FOR CPU

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clock controller for CPU with which power consumption of a CPU can be reduced. SOLUTION: A scheduler 2 successively selects only one from among tasks 1-3 and outputs it to a processing circuit 3 and the processing circuit 3 executes the selected task. Besides, a selector 9 reads the using amount of the CPU corresponding to the task selected by the scheduler 2 out of storage devices 6-8 and outputs it to a storage circuit 10. The storage circuit 10 temporarily stores the using amount of the CPU inputted from the selector 9, a comparator 11 reads out a clock value corresponding to the using amount of the CPU inputted from the storage circuit 10 concerning the task selected at present and outputs it to a clock selecting circuit 13 while referring to a CPU speed/clock table 12, and the clock selecting circuit 13 switches a clock based on the inputted clock value.
