PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile telephone system with the excellent mounting operability of a portable telephone set by integrally forming a transmission/ reception means provided in the portable telephone set in the battery pack of the portable telephone set. SOLUTION: The main circuits 31-33 of the transmission/reception means 3 are integrally formed in the battery pack 22. The battery pack 22 is attachably and detachably provided on the back surface of the main body of the portable telephone set 2 and is provided with the secondary battery B of a lithium ion or the like. Also, in the battery pack 22, the transmission circuit 33, reception circuit 32, antenna 31 and other circuits of the transmission/ reception means 3 are integrally formed. In such a manner, since the battery pack 22 is constituted attachably and detachably to/from the main body of the portable telephone set 2, the battery pack 22 is mounted in the case of use as a hand-free system and the battery pack 22 provided with the secondary battery B only is mounted in the case of not being required.
