PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the molding contg. gas generating agent for an air bag so that the initial inflation is made slower than ever, the assault due to the initial inflation is eliminated, and the crew is sufficiently restricted after 35 to 50 milliseconds. SOLUTION: When the desired maximum tank pressure is expressed by p (kPa) and the time taken from the initial tank pressure to the attainment of the maximum pressure P (kPa) is T milliseconds in the tank combustion test by a gas generator using the molding, the tank pressure after 0.25×T milliseconds in adjusted to <=0.25×P (kPa), preferably <=0.20×P (kPa). When the length of one piece of porous molding is L (mm) and the inner diameter of the hole is (d) (mm), d=0.2-1.5 (mm) and L/D>=3.0. The molding consists of a non-azide gas generating agent.
