A dimensionally and structurally stable object, preferably a disposable container is formed from flexible film by(A) preparing a flexible film which, at least in those regions required to be rigid in the formed object is associated with a structurally transformable substance and passive activator (B) forming the object and (C) during any one stage of the process, administering energy to the activator to structurally transform the substance and convert those regions from flexible to rigid.
