FIELD: automotive industry; clutches of heavy truck engines. SUBSTANCE: article is placed on plate and pressed to cover, and adjusting rods are driven to working sections of article levers. Depending on position of levers, i.e. exceeding or less than tolerable size, lever nuts are turned on or backed off by separate drives. When tolerable size is obtained, adjusting rods of spindle head are moved upwards and levers are prepared for upsetting. For this purpose cross is brought into contact with working sections of levers and 10-fold upsetting is carried out by moving cross rod upwards and downwards. After running-in of article members, checked size slightly changes, making it necessary to carry out final adjustment of size. With article mounted on engine, clutch accurately and reliably goes within the limits of engine overall dimensions and provides more reliable operation of engine. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of operation. |
